A juvenile has been killed and four other people left injured after a shooting broke out at a Houston-area flea market on Sunday, according to police.

The Pearland Police Department shared that the shooting began after a “disturbance” at the flea market. Whoever is responsible for the shooting is still at large, police said, adding that there may be more than one shooter.

During an evening news conference, Pearland police spokesperson Chad Rogers shared that two of the victims were minors.

The department also shared that “one of the juvenile victims has died of their injuries.”

All five of the victims shot were hospitalized, but their conditions were not immediately made available.

Rogers shared that the shooting occurred after two people at the market got into a fight. He says that it was not random.

“This started because there was a disturbance between two individuals at the flea market that resulted in gunfire,” Rogers said. “It does not appear to be any kind of targeted attack on the flea market.”

The information provided is preliminary, Rogers shared, as the investigation into the shooting is still ongoing at this point.
