Capital murder indictments have been handed-up against a mother, her son, and another man for the January death of a teenager.

On January 22, several people along Clay Mathis Road in Mesquite said it looked like someone had fallen out of a car. Police later concluded that 15-year-old Key’Madre Palmer had first been shot, then pushed out of the car.

At the time his mother told our partner station NBC 5: "And my kids say 'Mama, Madre's friend is back outside again!' Meaning he's a regular, that he always, you know... [he's] someone Madre knows, for him to come outside barefooted."

Now a Dallas County grand jury has leveled capital murder indictments against 34-year-old Crystal Guillen, her 18-year-old son Simon and 19-year-old Jonathan Pyle. Capital murder convictions have either one of two endings - life without parole or the death penalty.
