Police: 17-year-old dies in Dallas hotel shooting

Dallas (1080 KRLD)- Police were called to a hotel near the Dallas medical district early on Sunday morning where a 17-year-old had been fatally shot.

Per NBCDFW, the shooting occurred at a room at the Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Dallas Love Field in the 7900 block of Brookriver Drive, with a call coming in to police at 1:35 a.m.

The victim, now identified as Tony Evans Jr., later died at a local hospital according to police.

As it stands, the police are unaware of the motive behind Sunday's shooting and are yet to provide any information on the shooter.
