Across Texas A&M's eleven campuses, Ukrainian students will be offered free tuition, room-and-board beginning next semester.
Texas A&M Chancellor John Sharp made the announcement on Tuesday.
At least 14 students from Ukraine have been shown to be eligible for the offer but Vice-Chancellor Tim Eaton says more could be identified, so the number is likely to go up.
Officials say the money to pay for this will be taken from the A&M system's Regents Grant program which is set up to help students who have gone through some sort of disaster.
Thursday marks five weeks since the Russians invaded the Ukrainian students' homeland.
