The Republican Party of Texas has started selling participation packages for President Donald Trump’s first-ever national midterm convention, set for September 9 and 10 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
The event is described as a ticketed fundraiser and rally rather than a traditional convention with party business or delegate elections. It aims to celebrate the America First movement and raise resources to support Republican candidates ahead of the November 2026 midterms.
Three tiers are available: Honorary Delegate for $20,000, Honorary Alternate Delegate for $15,000, and Honorary Guest for $5,000. The top package includes hotel accommodations, on-floor seating, a Texas shirt and cowboy hat, and a convention credential. All attendees must be submitted to the Republican National Committee for approval and vetting. Registration is open now with a July 14 deadline due to limited allocations.

Texas GOP Chair D’Rinda Randall distributed details to county chairs, noting the gathering will help state parties prepare for the elections. RNC Chair Joe Gruters has called the event a “Trumpapalooza” that will highlight the president’s policies and launch a barnstorming tour for candidates nationwide.
The convention places Texas in the national spotlight as Republicans work to maintain congressional majorities. Dallas was selected after a competitive process, with the 2,000-acre site chosen for its ability to scale. The event marks the first Republican national convention in Dallas since 1984.
Funds raised from ticket sales will remain with the Texas GOP to support state-level efforts.
