EAGLE PASS, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- A Texas National Guard soldier assigned to Operation Lone Star is missing after a mission-related incident, officials said Friday.
A press release from the Texas Military Department said the soldier went missing Friday along the river in Eagle Pass. Officials are continuing to search for them.
"We are aware of reports of a fatality, although those reports are inaccurate," the release says.
Texas DPS and the Border Patrol are assisting in the search for the missing soldier.
