COLLEGE STATION (Talk1370.com) -- Bucky Ball is officially going dancing, with Texas A&M heading back to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight season.
The Aggies will open up with a first round matchup as the 10th seed in the South region, with a Thursday matchup against No. 7 seed Saint Mary's in Oklahoma City.
Though media polls projected a 13th-place finish in the SEC, head coach Bucky McMillan led the squad to an 11–7 conference record (21–11 overall) using a fast-paced, deep-rotation strategy.
It's been an up and down season for the Aggies, with key wins over Texas, Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, and others, but a 4-7 streak for its last 11 contests and losses to multiple teams that made the tournament.
The Aggies enter the tournament looking to break a Sweet 16 drought that dates back to 2018; if they get past Saint Mary’s, a potential second-round matchup against either Houston or Idaho awaits on Saturday.
