The city of Arlington will host a parade and a celebration on Friday to commemorate the Texas Rangers winning their first World Series in franchise history after Texas defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-0 in Game 5 to clinch the best-of-seven series, 4-1.
According to John Blake, the Rangers Executive Vice President of Public Affairs, the parade and ceremony will be held Friday in the Arlington Entertainment District starting at 12:15 p.m.
Both the ceremony and the parade are free to attend.
The Rangers posted the parade route to their website early Thursday.

After the parade, the team will hold a public ceremony in the North Plaza outside Globe Life Field, where fans can hear from their favorite players.
More information about the parade will be released Thursday by the city.
