SUGAR LAND (SportsRadio 610) -- Astros lefty Framber Valdez allowed no runs on two hits over four innings Sunday night in his second rehab start for the Class AAA Sugar Land Skeeters.
Valdez, recovering from a broken finger suffered in his first spring training start, threw 54 pitches and could likely be pushed to five innings, or 75-80 pitches in his next start.
Valdez had been scheduled to pitch Saturday but a rainout pushed back plans.
Right-hander Jake Odorizzi (forearm), who was scheduled to start Sunday before the rainout, will pitch Monday.
If all goes well, Valdez and Odorizzi could return to the Astros in the next couple of weeks.
