HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- Astros left fielder Michael Brantley went 2-for-4 in Game 1 of the ALDS against the White Sox on Thursday.

Yet it was probably his sacrifice bunt in the third inning that had the most obvious impact. Brantley bunted against the shift, advanced Jose Altuve to second base and nearly beat the throw to first base.

Altuve moved to third base on a wild pitch by Lance Lynn, then beat the throw home after an Alex Bregman grounder.

In the fourth inning, Brantley singled to center field to score Jake Meyers and Altuve for more insurance runs.

After starting 1-for-2 in Game 2, Brantley has hit safely in 13 straight postseason games, dating back to Game 1 of the 2020 ALDS. In the streak, Brantley is hitting .367 (18-for-49) with three homers, 11 RBI and a .997 OPS.

The streak is tied with Altuve for the second-longest in postseason franchise history, only behind George Springer (14 games).
