(SportsRadio 610) -- The Astros plan to piggyback starters Lance McCullers Jr. and Jake Odorizzi in Tuesday's home series opener against the Texas Rangers.

If everything goes as planned, McCullers will give the Astros at least four innings in first start since returning from the injured list after developing fluid in his bursa sac in his right shoulder. The Astros could rely on Odorizzi for five innings of work, manager Dusty Baker said over the weekend.

Odorizzi is still scheduled to start against the Baltimore Orioles on June 21.

Zack Greinke will start against the Rangers on Wednesday. Jose Urquidy opens the home series against the Chicago White Sox on Thursday. Luis Garcia will pitch against the White Sox on Friday, then Framber Valdez on Saturday.

McCullers is scheduled to pitch Sunday against the White Sox, but Baker said it could be Odorizzi depending on Tuesday goes against the Rangers.
