(SportsRadio 610) - Yordan Alvarez is living his best life.

Fresh off signing a six-year, $115 million extension with the Astros, Alvarez continues to dominate at the plate.

His seven-game hitting streak was snapped in Monday night's loss to the Seattle Mariners. But on Tuesday, Alvarez was right back at it. With Houston leading Seattle 2-1 in the eighth inning, Alvarez sent a 2-0 slider over the right field wall.

It wasn't a no-doubter the audience has grown accustomed to, traveling 353 feet as Mariners right fielder Taylor Trammell was unable to rob the homer. Mariners manager Scott Servais thought it was close enough to challenge, but the call was confirmed on replay.

Alvarez was so sure of it, he chased Michael Brantley around the bases, forcing the 35-year-old to speed up toward home plate.

On top of the contract extension, Alvarez was recently named American League Player of the Week. Over the last seven games, he's slashing .462/.563./923.

The Astros beat the Mariners 4-1 after another stellar performance from ace Justin Verlander.
