The Dallas Cowboys' final injury report of the week provided good and bad news on the state of the offensive line heading into the Christmas Eve matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
All-Pro left tackle Tyron Smith, who has missed practice all week with a back injury he sustained against the Buffalo Bills, is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game.
The good news is that All-Pro right guard Zack Martin was a limited participant in Friday's walkthrough after missing the team's first two practices of the week with a thigh injury he picked up in Buffalo, forcing him to exit the game for good in the first quarter.
"We're feeling really good about Zack (Martin's chances of playing) at this point," Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones said during his Friday afternoon visit with the K&C Masterpiece on 105.3 The Fan. "Tyron (Smith) is still a question mark, but certainly not ruled out."
The tandem's injury designations reflect the update Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy provided on the linemen during his appearance earlier Friday on Shan and Bobby on The Fan.
“I would say Zack is ahead of Tyron right now,” McCarthy answered when asked which lineman he was feeling more optimistic about for Sunday's game.
Chuma Edoga would fill in for Tyron Smith at left tackle against Miami should he be unable to go.
