DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Cowboys have only released a statement since cornerback Kelvin Joseph was connected to a murder investigation that took place in Dallas last month.

That changed Tuesday when EVP Stephen Jones discussed the latest with the 2021 second-round pick in the first of his four NFL Draft visits with 105.3 The Fan.

"The investigation is ongoing. We're waiting to get all the information," he told the K&C Masterpiece on Tuesday. "But in the meantime, he was here yesterday participating in the offseason program."

Jones was asked a follow-up about when the team learned about Joseph's involvement in the murder investigation, but he declined to comment.

A day after Joseph reportedly spoke with Dallas police about his involvement in the case, two arrests were made in the shooting death of 20-year-old Cameron Ray.

Dallas police announced Saturday that they had arrested 28-year-old Aries Jones and 21-year-old Tivione English, of Baton Rouge, LA, in connection with the homicide that took place in the 3600 block of Greenville Avenue on March 18.

Joseph's attorney admitted Friday that his client was in the suspects' vehicle when the shooting occurred, but said his client was unarmed and didn't fire the shots.

Joseph hasn't been arrested and isn't facing any charges at this time.
