This weekend, Dallas' NHL team will induct the first class for the Dallas Stars Hall of Fame.

The first inductees are former captain Derian Hatcher and former GM and head coach Bob Gainey. Additionally, retired numbers are automatically in (Neal Broten, Mike Modano, Jere Lehtinen, Sergei Zubov), along with team owners.

The weekend begins Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. home game vs. the New York Rangers, where Hatcher and Gainey will participate in a ceremonial face-off.

Then on Sunday, it's the Dallas Stars Hall of Fame Induction Gala where double Grammy nominee country group (and Texas natives) Midland will headline, hosted by the Dallas Stars Foundation at Gilley’s South Side Ballroom in Dallas at 6:00 p.m.

KRLD's John Liddle talked with the head of the Dallas Stars Foundation, Marty Turco.

Tickets are still available at DallasStars.com/gala.
