(SportsRadio 610) - Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will not start Sunday when they host the Houston Texans due to a fractured middle finger and rib injuries, multiple media outlets reported.

Tagovailoa had been limited by the injuries this week. He went through his pregame routine and was unable to go, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Jacoby Brissett will start in his place, while Tagovailoa is still expected to dress as his backup.

For the Texans, veteran Tyrod Taylor returns to the field for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns. Rookie Davis Mills had been starting in his place. The Houston offense, however, has struggled to score in the past six weeks.

Sunday's matchup between the Texans and Dolphins, both 1-7, pits against two teams searching for just their second win of the season.

Marc Vandermeer and Andre Ware will call the game on SportsRadio 610. Listen here.
