(SportsRadio 610) -- With Deshaun Watson all but gone from the Texans, fans here are wondering who will be the next franchise quarterback.
It's probably not Tyrod Taylor, who projects to start for Houston in 2021, unless rookie Davis Mills is ready.
It could be Mills, but the third-round pick does not have a ton of college experience and could probably benefit from sitting first.
So, if the Texans are as bad as most think they will be this season, it should put them in contention for one of the top quarterbacks from the 2022 draft class.
One of those is Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler, who ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay is comparing to Watson.
Our resident quarterback Clint Stoerner said Thursday he understands the comparison, given the two QBs' skillsets.
Clint and Ron "The Show" Hughley opened Thursday discussing the topic.
