Michael Brantley will make his return to the Astros lineup when the team opens a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on Tuesday night.
The Astros announced on Tuesday they have activated Brantley from the 10-day injured list after he missed the last 12 games due to right hamstring tightness.
In 41 games this season, Brantley, 34, is batting .305 with 3 home runs and 15 RBI. To make room for him on the roster, the Astros placed Aledmys Diaz on the 10-day injured with a fractured left hand, suffered in Saturday's loss to the Blue Jays. He's expected to miss 6-8 weeks.
