DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Mavericks have announced an official date for franchise legend Dirk Nowitzki's statue to be revealed at the American Airlines Center.

Per the team, the statue will be unveiled on Christmas day before the matchup with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.
According to the release, Nowitzki Way will be closed to traffic, and fans will have the chance to take in the ceremony.

They will also be able to view the ceremony from inside the American Airlines Center on the jumbotron.
The ceremony is set for 10 am CT, and can also be view on Mavs.com for those unable to attend.
