The Rangers didn't extend a qualifying offer to free agent catcher/designated hitter Mitch Garver ahead of the 4 p.m. CT deadline Monday.

Garver, 32, would have earned $20.325 million on a one-year deal had Texas extended him the offer and he accepted.

According to Mark Feinsand of MLB Network, seven players received qualifying offers before the start of free agency, including Shohei Ohtani, Cody Bellinger, Sonny Gray, Aaron Nola, Blake Snell, Josh Hader and Matt Chapman.

Texas could still re-sign Garver this winter after the slugger played a big part in their incredible run to their first World Series championship in franchise history.

In 14 postseason games, Garver hit .226 with three home runs and 14 RBI. His biggest moment came in Game 6 of the ALCS against the Astros when he recorded three hits, including a home run and a double, to help the Rangers force a Game 7. Garver also had hit a grand slam against the Orioles in Game 2 of the ALDS to put the game out of reach.

Garver hit .270 with 19 home runs and 50 RBI in 87 regular season games.
