DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - First-round cornerback prospect Caleb Farley will not participate in his Pro Day because he needs back surgery, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Monday afternoon.
The Virginia Tech product is in the play for the Cowboys when they make the 10th overall selection in next month's NFL Draft.
According to the report, Farley will undergo a microdiscectomy on Tuesday. The procedure is performed on patients who are dealing with a herniated disc in their back. This type of procedure is not considered to be a "major surgery," and is seen as a minimally invasive procedure. The typical recovery time placed on patients is around six weeks, 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher reports.
Farley skipped the entire 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns. In his two years with the Hokies, the junior had six interceptions and 19 passes defended.
