Not only might he be the best scorer who was available in the 2021 NBA Draft, but he's also flashy and unafraid to drip.
But there is substance to go with all of this style.
After the Rockets selected Green with the No. 2 overall pick Thursday night, he told reporters his goals include becoming Rookie of the Year, earning All-Defense and All-Star honors, and a maximum contract.
The last point is several years away, but if he does everything else before that, it's certainly in play. Let's allow him to get on the basketball court first.
Aside from his scoring ability, Green views himself as a relentless defender.
"They're going to say it was a great choice," Green said when asked how this pick will be remembered. "Because the goals I have for myself, I plan on reaching them. ... Rookie of the Year, All-Star, All-Defense, max-contract. We doing it big."
