DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Radio.com Sports insider Brian Scalabrine joined the K&C Masterpiece on Tuesday to talk some Mavs hoops.
Scal discussed the team's play thus far and why he believes they are still one player away from truly competing for a championship.
"If I told you that this Mavs team is trying to set themselves up for next year - and keeping all options open - or maybe even this year - getting a guy, somehow, in a trade, whatever that may be. I do think they are still one guy away from (winning) an NBA championship. I think a Bradley Beal-type of player is the guy they are looking for, a guy that can create his own shot off the dribble. Once they do that, I really believe that most of the role players will settle into who they really are."
