DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Tony Romo has been living his best life since retiring from the NFL in 2017. Romo is one of the most popular, if not the most popular football analyst in the NFL. Oh, and he also happens to play in professional golf tournaments thanks to his ability to get sponsor exemptions.
Romo is playing in one of those tournaments this week in his backyard of Arlington, where AT&T Stadium is located.
On his first hole at the Veritex Bank Championship on Thursday, Romo chipped in for eagle on the 10th hole.
Through four holes, Romo is even for the day after a double-boggy on his fourth hole. He has never made the cut at a professional golf tournament.
Romo, who hails as the Cowboys' all-time leader in both touchdowns (248) and career passing yards (34,183), is nearly a scratch golfer, holding a +0.4 handicap, according to Golf Digest. Golden State Warriors All-Star Stephen Curry has also appeared on the Korn Ferry Tour, a development tour for aspiring PGA pros.
