DRIPPING SPRINGS, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- The Westlake Chaparrals have locked up a district championship for the fifth straight year, capping off a perfect 6-0 record in District 26-6A with Friday night's 35-14 win over Dripping Springs.

Rees Wise and Sebastian Henault both rushed for two touchdowns; the fifth score came from Austin Knox on a 3-yard run designed as a fake field goal attempt.

"It was a long week... this was our goal that we set back on August 12th when we first started our camp," Chaps head coach Tony Salazar said postgame. "So proud of these coaches, so proud of these kids... that's the standard at Westlake. We're gonna go get us a piece of wood with some gold plating on the front of it, we're going to celebrate tonight and go to work in the morning."

Westlake locks up the outright championship in 26-6A, with a 10-1 overall record. The Chaps will take the top seed in the Division I bracket, with a bi-district matchup against Vista Ridge next week at Chaparral Stadium. Dripping Springs will be the district's top seed in Division II, with a home game against McNeil next week.
