Over the weekend, Rex Ryan disputed Adam Schefter's report that Mike Zimmer and the Cowboys had agreed to a contract to make him their next defensive coordinator.
“First off, I’m not so sure Zimmer has that job right now,” Ryan said on ESPN. “I’m not sure about that. I can honestly say I don't believe that's a fact right now."
Ryan's comments are in lockstep with what 105.3 The Fan's Bryan Broaddus and Shan Shariff reported last week when they both said on air that there were still details that needed to be ironed out before the deal could become official.
What's the holdup? And could the deal fall apart?
