PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Rioting and looting were happening throughout the City of Pittsburgh Saturday evening after a George Floyd protest turned violent.
Pittsburgh Public Safety said the City of Pittsburgh is 'NOT safe,' tweeting updates as the situation in the city escalated saying "Avoid Downtown. It is NOT safe."

Protesters gathered in downtown early Saturday afternoon and activities remained peaceful until late afternoon when a Pittsburgh police car was set on fire.
A KDKA TV photojournalist said he was attacked by protesters, leaving him "bruised and bloody but alive."

Chauvin has been charged with 3rd degree murder and manslaughter.
