Disney Cruise Lines announced that it was extending suspensions of sailings due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
According to a press release published to their site on Monday, the company made the decision per recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The cruise line specified the following departures which will be put on pause:
—Disney Magic sailing departures from Europe through October 2, 2020—Disney Wonder sailing departures from Canada through September 14, 2020—Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy sailings through July 27, 2020
The line is offering affected guests the choice of a cruise credit that can be applied towards a future reservation, or a full refund.
Over the weekend, Disney Resort posted safety guidelines on what guests can expect when hotels reopen on June 22. The precautions include masks required for all visitors ages 2 and older, requirements for visitors from New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut to have completed a 14-day quarantine, additional cleanings of facilities, and social distancing measures in public spaces.
