Distillery Recalls Gin Bottles Filled With Hand Sanitizer

Yes, bartender, can I have a hand sanitizer and tonic?

A distillery recently had to recall a ton of its gin bottles because they found out there wasn't any gin inside. However, there was hand sanitizer in it when he opened the bottle.

The Apollo Bay Distillery sold only nine bottles of the bottles with the sanitizer due to incorrect labeling.

A spokesperson for the Apollo Bay Distillery received a complaint that a person felt nauseous after drinking the bottle after thinking it was gin.

"The bottles were incorrectly labeled and had no seal. Should you have purchased a bottle of SS Casino Gin between Friday 5 June to Sunday 7 June, please return it to where you purchased it from for a full refund or replacement," he said.

Human error is the cause of this mix up according to the company.
