Kansas City, MO - The closure of meat processing plants and the disruption of the food supply chain due to the pandemic revealed a growing desire by many to buy from local operations.
Large meat packing plants may nearly be back to normal, but the desire hasn't been dampened.
The Missouri Farm Bureau has now launched a web resource to connect consumers with locally-sourced beef operations.

“All we’re trying to do is connect consumers who might have an interest in purchasing meat directly from farmers or small processors, and farmers or processors who might have meat for sale," said Blake Hurst, president of the farm bureau.
