Taco Bell Staffer Fired for Black Lives Matter Mask

Social media is calling for Taco Bell to be canceled -- over and done with -- after a Youngstown, Ohio manager said he was fired for refusing to remove his Black Lives Matter mask.

Denzel Skinner said he was fired after eight years on the job, even though he's still adamant that Taco Bell's mask policy says nothing about barring face covers with messages.

"I'm standing up for my peoples," Skinner said on the video. "I'm not taking it off."

"(What if) you let somebody wear something that says something about white people on it?" his boss protests during the argument, saying that he's bringing politics into the restaurant.

"You don't get it," she says.

"You don't either," he responds.

Taco Bell responded to the incident in a statement saying that they were "disappointed to learn what took place in Youngstown. We are working with our franchisee that operates this location to understand what happened."

As for why he was wearing his own face covering instead of a surgical mask, Skinner explained the store's air conditioning had not been working ... so it was hot inside and hard to breathe in the surgical mask. Taco Bell acknowledged that it does permit workers to wear their own face coverings.

In response to the video, the hashtag #RIPTacoBell and #TacoBellsOverParty began trending on Twitter.
