ST. LOUIS, Mo (KMOX) -- Two police officers have been shot and one of them is in "very, very critical" condition, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Police say the shooting took place in the 3700 block of Hartford in South City.
One officer has been shot in the head and the other in the leg.

Traffic in the area is completely blocked in the area of Grand and Arsenal, which is very close to the shooting scene.
Chief John Hayden is expected to address media soon.
