KANSAS CITY - Wichita police arrested a man Monday afternoon after the death of a four-year-old child.
Officers were called to the 2600 block of S. Topeka (south of Pawnee; north of the Arkansas River) for a medical call regarding an unresponsive four-year-old. The child was hospitalized in critical condition, and died in less than an hour.
34-year-old Daniel Martin has been booked into the Sedgwick County Jail for child abuse, and this abuse case resulting in death is pending the Medical Examiners' autopsy report.
