
KANSAS CITY – Kansas and Missouri are the top states in the nation when ranked by the amount of the paid time off that workers take.
The report from Solitaired surveyed users from every state to see just how much paid time off they were taking each year and compared it to how much they have to use.
Kansas and Missouri topped the list for using the most PTO each year, leaving the least on the table at 1.84 days and 1.91 days respectively.
Residents in Maryland had over 6 days of unused PTO, while Massachusetts, Hawaii and Oregon all had over five unused PTO days.
On average, the American worker is allotted 12 days of paid time off per year, but the average worker only uses 9.
