KANSAS CITY – It’s not just spring, it’s pothole season and efforts to fill them all are in high gear in Kansas City.

Michael Shaw, Director of Public Works in Kansas City, says their crews have been hard at work for a few weeks now, putting in 12-hour days, six days a week.

Shaw says they’ve received around 50,000 calls, some of which are duplicates, from drivers reporting potholes, so they try to take care of those first.

Shaw says their goals is to get 90 percent of the potholes filled by the end of April.

Kansas City residents can report a pothole by calling 311 or submitting a report online here.
