Kansas City, MO – Word got out today in the City of Fountains that Mayor Quinton Lucas had married his longtime girlfriend, Katherine Carttar, earlier this month in a civil ceremony on April 9.
Then, once word spread across town of the marriage, Lucas dropped some other big news - he has a newborn son, named Bennett.
KMBC's Micheal Mahoney reported that the baby was born over the weekend. Lucas said the baby had some medical challenges but he hopes to introduce him to the city soon.
Lucas said that he's thankful for the prayers and "outstanding maternity and neonatal ICU unit at University of Kansas Hospital."
