KANSAS CITY - On this Labor Day 2026, we've learned some big news for the local aviation industry.
During the summer 2026 flying season, Germany's Lufthansa will be expanding its non-stop service between St. Louis and Frankfurt from three days per week to five. The time period covers most June through October dates next year.
St. Louis Lambert International Airport officials say the occupancy rate on the Frankfurt service has remained high since it began in June 2022, and this expansion is a positive result.
The news comes just days after Lufthansa said it would be pausing its St. Louis route during the month of February, but resuming in March.
