NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Despite the ongoing pandemic, Macy's still managed to put on its annual Thanksgiving Day Parade without a hitch.

With COVID-19 restrictions in place, including mask wearing and social distancing, the parade looked much different from past holidays. The biggest change being that the parade nixed its usual 2.5-mile route and didn't allow crowds on onlookers to attend the event.

Giant balloons still soared in the sky, but without their typical 80-100 handlers and the number of day-of participants was reduced by 88%, to remain in compliance with coronavirus restrictions.

While much of the event was pre-recorded over the last three days, there was still plenty to see live on Thursday.

Here's some highlights from the 2020 parade.
