KANSAS CITY - A man has died following an industrial accident near downtown Wichita.
It happened just after 8:00 a.m. Wednesday morning at a metal finishing shop in the 700 block of E. Murdock, near Santa Fe. First responders found a man, 50, with injuries to his upper body.
Police said the man was operating a hydraulic press when a piece of metal separated and injured him. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died a short time later.
No names have been released.
