On Saturday, two siblings were killed while riding around an Indiana campground in a golf cart when a dead tree fell on them, a local sheriff's office reported.
The Owen County Sheriff's Office shared in a press release, WRTV reported, that deputies responded to the Indian Oaks Campground, where they found the 8-year-old girl and 9-year-old boy deceased from their injuries. Life-saving measures were attempted but were unsuccessful.

Matthew Miller, the sheriff's office's Chief Deputy, shared that the two children were riding in the golf cart with their parents as the tree fell on them.
The Owen County Coroner's Office shared that the children died from blunt force trauma, and their deaths are being ruled accidental.
The children's identities have not been released by the sheriff's office or the Owen County Coroner.
The MSD of Wayne Township released a statement saying the two had been students at their schools and that they are working with the family and those affected to provide support.
"Additional resources are being provided for the students and staff impacted as they grieve and mourn these losses," the statement said. "We are deeply appreciative of the outreach from so many in our community and around the state."
The tree reportedly damaged another vehicle nearby severely but caused no other injuries. As of now, there have not been any further details released on the incident.
