KANSAS CITY - Wichita police are investigating a fatal crash at East Central and North Hydraulic that killed Kadrian Jackson, 18, of Wichita.

On October 5, 2025, at 2:06 a.m., officers responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV at the intersection.

When officers arrived, they found Jackson, the driver of the SUV, trapped beneath the overturned vehicle. Wichita Fire Department personnel freed him, and he was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. Jackson later died from his injuries.

Two passengers in the SUV, both from Wichita, were also taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators learned the SUV was traveling west on Central through a green light when a motorcyclist, 32, also from Wichita, was heading north on Hydraulic and ran a red light, striking the SUV’s left rear quarter panel. The impact caused the SUV to roll over, trapping Jackson underneath.

Preliminary investigation indicates suspected impairment by the motorcyclist may have been a factor in the crash. The case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for review, pending blood test results before possible charges.
