Lawrence police need help identifying suspect who allegedly bit off tip of man's finger after stealing booze

KANSAS CITY – Police in Lawrence, Kansas, are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in a theft and assault.

The incident happened around 1am on Sunday, March 29th near 7th and Massachusetts. Managers at a nearby bar say the man grabbed a bottle of Fireball and left the establishment, but staff caught up to him and got the booze back.  As the suspect was running off, he bumped into a man and attacked him, biting off the tip of the victim’s pinky finger before fleeing the scene.
