KANSAS CITY - A Wichita man was sentenced to nearly a year-and-a-half in prison for a shooting at City Nightz nightclub back in 2023.
John Houze entered a no-contest plea to criminal possession of a weapon in July for his part in the incident. A Sedgwick County judge said Houze will get credit for 'time served' for the crime.
Houze was originally charged with six counts of aggravated assault along with the criminal possession of a weapon charge.
Nine people were shot and two were trampled during the 2023 shooting.
Two other men charged in the shooting have already been sentenced.
