KANSAS CITY - A local dog who lost her beloved owner is desperately in need of a home.

It all started about seven years ago, when Miss Maria reached out to the Pet Resource Center of Kansas City for help spaying her beloved pitbull mix, Bruschetta. A few years later, Bruschetta’s sibling, Thunder came along. Then, a couple of months ago, Miss Maria got sick and passed away.

In Miss Maria’s last wish, she asked for Bruschetta and Thunder to be taken care of, and both were put up for adoption at KC Pet Project. Thunder was adopted, and now the mission is to find a forever home for seven-year-old Bruschetta.

Bruschetta is acclimated to living with other dogs and older people, and is described as “easy-going” and just wants to snuggle with someone who loves her.
