KANSAS CITY - The Kansas Board of Regents has given approval to tuition increases requested by state schools in May.
Tuition at Wichita State will increase by 3.5% for fall classes. Other schools such as K-U will see an increase of 3%. K-State tuition will be up 3.5%, with a .8% increase in Salina. Fort Hays State tuition will be up 4%, and a bump of 2.5% at Pittsburg State.
The universities cited inflation, enrollment declines and other rising costs as reasons for the increase.
