KANSAS CITY - Wichita's homeless shelter in the former Park Elementary School on 9th and Main Street is making changes.
Formerly known as the Multi-Agency Center, or MAC, the shelter has been re-branded as Second Light.
Board Chairman Steve Dixon says they will be undergoing construction throughout the rest of the year.
Construction will take place in phases for one-story and two-story buildings.
However, the shelter will remain open providing limited services.
