KANSAS CITY - An early morning shooting in central Wichita critically injured a 25-year-old man.
Police responded around 2 a.m. Saturday to the 400 block of North Mathewson, near Central and Hydraulic. Officers found a man with two gunshot wounds to the upper torso. He was alert and transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
The shooting happened in the 400 block of North New York and may have followed a fight. No arrests have been made.
