KANSAS CITY - A woman is dead and another woman was injured during a stabbing in west Wichita.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon in the 6800 block of W. Par Lane. Officers were called due to a reported domestic disturbance.
They found a woman outside the residence with a stab wound. She was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Inside the apartment, police found a man who was taken into custody. Inside a bedroom, they found a woman, 28, with apparent stab wounds. She was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
Police confirmed that the woman who died and the suspect have a history together.
Investigators are working to determine what led up to the violence.
