Apollo came to Paw Patrol in August 2021 after a volunteer received a 3 Am phone call from a vet and then police officer friend of hers.
It was reported to us that a young dog was shot but was otherwise healthy. The owners wanted to euthanize and the vet didn't want to see that happen. After getting the surrender paperwork signed, the vets immediately began treatment. Unfortunately, due to the severity of the wound the best route was amputation.
Several days in the hospital later and visits from our volunteer, Apollo was released and went home with his foster for medical care. He had no idea he only had 3 legs and was and is the happiest doggo around!
He was neutered several weeks later and went to a new foster to learn how to be an indoor loving pup. He's now ready for his furever home
