Meet Josephine
Sweet Josephine was very lethargic when she was surrendered to the Humane Society of Greater Miami and had all but stopped eating completely. The Humane Society's medical team suspected there must be an underlying cause for such a sudden change in her behavior, and soon enough x-rays from a local animal hospital showed that a bladder stone was the culprit for all her discomfort. Josephine underwent surgery the very next day to remove the huge bladder stone and as you can imagine, she's feeling much better now! Josephine is back to her usual self and has a calm yet loving demeanor. She gets along well with other dogs and although she is a little shy around men, you can earn her trust quickly with some treats and gentle pets. This 10-year-old Dachshund mix is ready for a family to show her that true love is still out there, a family who will spoil her each and every day just like she deserves.
